The 1st Food Oats Conference will address the latest findings and innovations in oat based ingredient and food development, as well as the health impacts and consumer insights. The two-day conference on 8-9 June 2021 will take place as a live-streamed and interactive event, enabling online discussions with the presenters and on demand recording of the presentations.
With globally recognized keynote speakers, the Food Oats Conference will address the oat research and innovations from farm to health impacts by having four specific session themes:
Oat raw materials and ingredients
You will learn about the oat grain quality factors affecting the applicability of oats in food products as well as the new breeding tools and analyses to assist new oat innovations from farm to fork.

You will hear about the latest findings on oat-mediated health effects as well as development in pure oats – the ingredients suitable for gluten free diets.

Consumer trends and innovations – you will get the latest insights on the consumer preferences and market development and learn how to promote generation of the oat based innovations.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Professor of Practice Reetta Kivelä from University of Helsinki (Finland)
Moderator of the event is Emilia Nordlund from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd, the Coordinator of Finnish OatHow consortium.
In addition to the inspirational live-stream presentations, the audience will be able to deep-dive into the latest oat research in the ePoster sessions and discuss directly with the author in the live poster sessions.
